Robert Brovdi and Ivan Voloshyn founded annual Prizes to the best graduates of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts

June 22-23, 2016 in Uzhhorod “ILKO Gallery” it was held a public presentation and an exhibition of degree works of graduates of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts. The event was not without pleasant surprises which were prepared for the lecturers and graduates of the institution by the caring patrons.

It is an initiative announced on the eve of the event by the businessmen and public figures Robert Brovdi and Ivan Voloshyn to support the art sphere of the region, promote young artists as well as Transcarpathian art school outside the region and country.

One of the first steps in this direction was the establishment of annual individual scholarships for three best graduates of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts, as well as their academic advisers.

During the solemn part of the event, the scholarship prizes were awarded on behalf of the founders by Ivan Voloshyn.

This year’s laureates are: Vira Vorobok and her adviser, Honoured Artist of Ukraine Liudmyla Korzh-Radko (the first prize); Taras Hodvan and his adviser, Honoured Artist of Ukraine Anton Kovach (the second prize); Oleksandr Halaichuk and his adviser, PhD in art history Mykhailo Pryimych (the third prize).

Wishing the graduates and their advisers new creative achievements and successes, Ivan Voloshyn assured that together with Robert Brovdi they will continue providing all-round support to young artists, eminent artists and the major art Alma Mater of the region-Transcarpathian Academy of Arts.
