Exhibition of works of the first and second "Silver Easel" as well as registration for a new contest has started in Uzhhorod.

On 1 September 2017, in the cultural and historical centre "Owl Nest" of Uzhhorod it was opened the exhibition of works by the participants of the first and second All-Ukrainian Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel". In general, for the first time, more than 90 paintings by 50 authors of the contest have been exhibited to the public.

The exposition is organized in such a way that on the terrace of the "Owl Nest" visitors are greeted by bright emotional photos made during the contest days. They perfectly convey the atmosphere of the creative event. In the centre of the hall there are works of the contest task "Portrait". On the perimeter there are paintings with images of Uzhhorod and its surroundings, created by contestants in the nominations "Landscape" and "Cityscape". A special highlight of the art exhibition is works of the "Improvisation" stage, which was first introduced this year.

The exhibition caused a great stir among art lovers: on the opening day the exhibition was visited by the famous artists, art critics, students, contest participants themselves, as well as numerous citizens and guests of the city. Everybody present note: impressive are not only thematic and stylistics, but also the diversity of painting techniques - oil, acrylic, assembly, applique, pastel, author’s technique.

During the opening of the exhibition the prize-winner of the first and second "Silver Easel" Maksym Hospodynchyk noted: "Silver Easel" is a nice impetus for the development of creativity. The contest united students and showed that there are indifferent people who support young artists - this gives inspiration to create, develop yourself further." "I am glad for the participants: they were given the opportunity to create and exhibit, and to show yourself and appreciate your level, compare it with others is the best that can be for the artist," the famous Transcarpathian artist Emma Levadska commented the opening ceremony. The art critic and lecturer, Atilla Kopryva, noted that "Silver Easel" could initiate the establishment of the new centre of contemporary art and, perhaps, even individual creative directions and schools...

According to the organizers, the exhibition of works of "Silver Easel" coincides with two events: Day of Uzhhorod, which became the birth place of the contest and is depicted on dozens of paintings of its participants, as well as the to the beginning of participants’ registration for the next, third contest, which will take place on 9-14 October 2017.

It should be noted that the third "Silver Easel" will have the status of an open contest - students of not only Ukrainian, but also foreign higher educational establishments are invited to participate in it. Registration and pre-selection will last from 1 to 30 September 2017 on the website https://molbert.brovdi.art

As to the exhibition, it will last until 15 October 2017, so the participants of the third “Silver Easel”, which will take place at this time, will have the opportunity to see and evaluate the results of the work of their predecessors.
