As the founders of both Art & Culture Foundation "Brovdi Art" and contest "Silver Easel"Robert and Nataliya Brovdi noted in their opening speeches, the publication of this catalogue is an expected and natural outcome of the contest. “This is an album-catalogue covering events, emotions, thoughts, impressions, as well as ideas and images embodied in canvases, which will become a good recollection of the contest and interesting works of art students of Ukraine," the annotation to the catalogue says.

A bright, voluminous, full-length art catalogue is intended for a wide readership not only in Ukraine, but also abroad, therefore all texts in it are duplicated in English. The publication contains background information and detailed photo report on the course of the contest, information on the composition of the Jury, partners and participants of this art event. The catalogue contains reproductions of all 153 paintings performed by participants of the "Silver Easel" in the framework of three contest stages: "Cityscape", "Improvisation", and "Portrait". The book is addressed to students and teachers of specialized Art Schools, art critics and all connoisseurs of contemporary Ukrainian painting.

Upon the publication, participants, members of the Jury and partners of the contest, higher educational institutions in those regions of Ukraine, from which talented young boys and girls arrived received the catalogue. The publication was also sent to the scientific, public and children's libraries of Transcarpathia, museums, galleries, art schools, creative unions, numerous artists – all, who were involved in the main idea of the contest – identifying and supporting gifted young people, promoting their creative development, popularization of modern national art.
