Exhibition "Goodbye, Word!". Reviews and comments. Max and Julia Voloshyn

The founders of the gallery of contemporary art Voloshyn Gallery Max and Julia Voloshyn:

Max:

"Exhibition provokes emotions! In general, I liked it. There are interesting things. This exhibition itself is already a particular precedent. For example, an artist comes to Kyiv, sees how he looks at the large expositions among the others. And this is an interesting experience and a tendency. Now a lot of regional schools are holding the similar exhibitions – Kharkiv, Odesa schools, and now – Transcarpathian school. This is important because Kyiv audience can hear new names. Including Transcarpathian ones! That is the first exhibitions of such a kind in a long time, and I am sure that there will be others. It is important to raise Ukrainian artists because they are not yet fully involved in the world art market. Gallerists, foundations, sponsors can change the situation by organizing such exhibitions. It may take a lot of years for Ukrainian artists to come to the world level. But we have to do it."

Julia:

"For us as gallery owners, it is important that contemporary art of Ukraine is integrated into the context of the world contemporary art. And here, at the exhibition, there is such a variety: media and prints, ceramics, sculpture, painting. We see a lot of young Transcarpathian artists, and the exhibition primarily promotes their creativity, because they may have had no other chance to show their works in the capital. Founders of the Brovdi Art Foundation – Nataliya and Robert – give such a unique chance to the young artists.  And the main goal of the exhibition – to show young and not very famous Transcarpathian artists – was achieved.
