The exhibition "Goodbye Word!" – reviews and impressions of the participants

Recently, an exhibition of contemporary Transcarpathian art "Goodbye, Word" was held in Kyiv. The project, organized by Brovdi Art Foundation under the supervision of Taras Tabaka, was a success in the capital and pleasantly surprised the country's artistic elite. For the first time in many years, it was presented a collective exposition of a new generation of Transcarpathian artists at the national level. With their masterpieces, they go beyond the traditional ideas of the regional school of painting. Art critics, art historians, gallery owners, media representatives have already voiced their opinions about the exhibition. Now, it’s time to know the opinion of the participants. What are their impressions, reviews and assessments of the project?

Ivan Nebesnyk, an artist, participant of the exhibition: "In the context of Ukraine, contemporary Transcarpathian art occupies an important place, but it is still underestimated ..."

Vlad Habda, an artist, participant of the exhibition: "Looking at this exhibition, I, as Uzhhorod and Transcarpathian citizen, am amazed by my region. Everything is very nice, focused, comprehensible, there is a clear cross-line ... "

Nata Popova, an artist, participant of the exhibition: "Transcarpathian school of painting has always been different in terms of creativity and colour, the freshness of perception. These are emotions, our nature – everything is in the works."

Viktor Melnychuk, an artist, participant of the exhibition: "The exhibition presents a lot of interesting, new. I’ve known the majority of artists for a long time, but they do not cease to amaze me today."

Andriy Voznicki, a sculptor, artist, participant of the exhibition: "All the presented works is one very positive tandem – bright, graphic, stylish, interior one!"

 

Beata Korn, an artist, sculptor, participant of the exhibition: "Each of the participants did his best. This is a step forward – we were presented in Kyiv and showed what we are working on." 

Eduard Prykhodko, an artist, participant of the exhibition: "It is interesting to hear the opinion of the spectators of the capital, Central Ukraine about the contemporary Transcarpathian art which is now presented here."

Ruslan Tremba, an artist, participant of the exhibition: "The exhibition went well. It's hard to surprise me, but it's nice to watch it. There are a lot of artists who look in a new way, and it only says that Transcarpathia is moving forward. We started a new countdown! "

Taras Tabaka, an artist, curator and participant of the exhibition: "We, therefore, appeal to the viewers without any recommendations, dictates or mentoring. A word can be manipulated and we want to move away from it, in order to be honest with ourselves and with the audience."
